Debra Kwiatek's update
Hilje asked me to post this:
I just sent off an email to my sister Mary who at 42 has 4 kids...3 boys(biological) and a little girl she adopted from Ethiopia last summer who is about 21/2 . The boys are 7,5.1/2,31/2.
Just as I was about to close I saw your email. Our house in Houston was located on ***** Rocky Knoll Drive( near Dairy Ashford and Westheimer), It was in the Ashford Hollow subdivision. We actually went by there almost 3 years ago. We went on a cruise out of Galveston and swung by to have a look.
Mary Christine at 23 got married to Dan Dion last summer on August 13 our 27th anniversary .They met at BC. Dan class of 03, MC 05. She is graduating from their Donovan Urban Teaching Program on May 22 with a degree in secondary ed..Her undergraduate degree is in Spanish /psychology. She and Dan bought a townhouse in Manchester CT. They will move there once Dan finishes teaching . He plans to go to work for his dad in a business called ServPro
Joe just turned 21 .He is a sophomore at BC at the Carroll School of Management and loves it there. He,MC and Dan have totally embraced the Jesuit philosophy of serve to others. They are were all involved in the Appalachia Volunteers group there. As a matter of fact we all went to Tijuana Mexico to build a house for a family rather that the usual Christmas . Fifteen of us left, "Thirty Hands " on Christmas Eve. We camped out and got the house built in 4 days. It was the best Christmas ever.
Peter is 18 and a senior at Reading Memorial HS. He was wait listed at BC so we sent in a nonrefundable deposit to Providence College of $700. to hold a spot for him . He won't hear from BC till June at the latest. Time will tell.
JoanE is a sophomore at RMHS. As a matter of fact she had her Confirmation last night She is our last one to receive it. Time really does march on. She too is very involved in volunteer projects which is why you got the email.
John and I are great. He is still at Connell Limited Partnership and I am the reading specialist at Joshua Eaton School which is my neighborhood school. My kids went there when we moved to Reading almost 12years ago.
I drove by Wheelock just last week. The campus looks great.
Take care
Love,
Deb
